A short note on the editorial shape of this site.

This site is a home for short analyses of Australian health and policy datasets.

The format I want to use is deliberately compact:

  1. Ask one question.
  2. Find one credible dataset.
  3. Make one or two clear charts.
  4. Explain the main pattern.
  5. Say what would change my mind.

That last part matters. Public datasets are powerful, but they are rarely complete. A good post should be interesting without pretending to be the final word.

A Starting Template

Each analysis post can use this shape:

## Question

What are we trying to learn?

## Data

Where did the data come from, what period does it cover, and what are the caveats?

## Method

What transformations, filters, or comparisons were used?

## Findings

What changed, what differs, and what surprised us?

## Policy Note

What might this mean, and what should we be careful not to overclaim?

The first few posts should be deliberately manageable. The goal is to build a rhythm: publish, learn, improve, repeat.
